Arriving in Bangkok
Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is Thailand’s main airport. Both departure and arrival flights are available to/from domestic and foreign destinations.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, since 1st November 2021, the eastern concourse C and the western concourses E, F and G have been opened for all international arrival passengers. After disembarking from the aircraft, all of the international arrival passengers will be screened by international disease control officers and they are required to scan Thailand Pass QR code, which is a new platform designed to facilitate those traveling to Thailand. Then they will have their body temperature checked.
If the temperature exceeds 37.3 degrees Celsius or meets the Patient Under Investigation (PUI) criteria, the disease control checkpoint staff will separate the passenger to carryout measures of the Ministry of Public Health. If the temperature does not exceed 37.3 degrees Celsius, the passenger may proceed through the immigration control, baggage claim and customs declaration processes.
For those with no declaration at the Customs station will be directed to the arrival hall on the 2nd floor of the Passenger Terminal to meet a representative of the hotel, which is a quarantine facility that the passenger has chosen and pre-booked prior to the visit. Passenger will be transported by the hotel’s vehicle, which has a barrier installed between the driver and the passenger in accordance with the disease preventive measures and will proceed to the RT-PCR examination when arriving at the hotel.
