BGS Beta-Gamma-Service E-Beam and Gamma Facility Tour
Join BGS Beta-Gamma-Service for a technical tour of its headquarters in Wiehl. The tour will provide delegates with insight into the industrial use of E-Beam and gamma irradiation for radiation sterilization and radiation crosslinking.
Attendees will visit selected warehouse, processing and quality-related areas and learn how products are handled, documented and treated in industrial irradiation processes. Highlights include BGS’ electron beam operations, flexible handling systems for packaged goods and continuous products, and an introduction to the site’s cobalt-60 gamma facility.
The tour will also include a visit to the laboratory where material testing for radiation crosslinking is carried out. Delegates will gain an insight into how irradiated polymers are tested and evaluated, supporting process development, product qualification and quality assurance in industrial crosslinking applications.
The tour offers a practical view of how irradiation technology is applied across a variety of applications in sterilization and radiation crosslinking. A light lunch snack will be provided.

Join STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies for an exclusive site tour of our X-ray and EO facilities in Venlo, The Netherlands.
The day’s agenda will consist of welcome refreshments and a short introductory presentation, followed by a guided tour of our X-ray irradiation processing facility. Guests will then enjoy lunch on site before continuing with a tour of our ethylene oxide (EO) processing facility.
Attendees may tour both X-ray and EO operations, or X-ray only. Return bussing to the Crowne Plaza Hotel will be provided at the conclusion of the X-ray tour (12:00pm), after lunch (1:00pm), and at the conclusion of the EO tour (2:30pm).
